Kernix

Build kernels with Nix and Rokc

  • Kernel configs as code
  • Easy to update for new kernel version
  • No Import-from-Derivation (IFD)
  • Eval-time info about enabled options and modules

Usage

$ kernix --help
Maintain kernel configs as code

Usage: kernix <COMMAND>

Commands:
  maintainer A TUI for updating a kernix config based on new kconfig options
  complete Complete a kconfig file with a provided kernix config
  assert Check a kernix config against a provided assertion file
  help Print this message or the help of the given subcommand(s)

Options:
  -h, --help  Print help

Kernix provides two major functionalities:

  • A TUI to update a kernix config when a new kernel is released (kernix maintainer).
  • A non-interactive transformation of a kernix config and a kconfig to a completed kconfig that can be built (kernix complete).
